Brief History of Ekwulobia Microfinance Bank Ltd (EMFB)

The bank formerly known as Ekwulobia Community Bank Limited was incorporated on 3rd February 1993. By the indigenes of Ekwulobia town in Aguata Local Government Area, of Anambra State, Nigeria. The bank was approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to convert to Microfinance Bank on 9th May 2007, in line with National Microfinance Framework.

The bank is engaged in the business of microfinance banking. Ekwulobia MFB is a household name in Ekwulobia town and its environ due to its strategic position in the centre of Aguata Local Government Area and her long history of consistently providing affordable and easy-to-get financial services to the masses especially unbanked and under-banked populace.
